Simone has it all: a successful career, friends, and the New York City nightlife. Starting as a simple retailer, she fought her way to the top as a creative director of a competitive fashion label. However, her deeply-rooted problems are mounting. Simone juggles a manipulative mother, increasing competition, and most of all…LONELINESS! Every night she goes to her apartment full of fashion books, swatches, and fabrics, but empty of a man to call her own.

But, her misfortunes will soon change when she meets her new business partner…Ms. Brown!

Ms. Brown, who also has a fashion brand, is well-versed in style; her accessories are top-notch, beautiful, and authentic. With Brown’s help, Simone will take over the fashion industry. But Ms. Brown has other plans.

Meet the Characters

Simone
She is a creative director who has spent two years at Ade Collective, a fashion company promoting traditional, African clothing. Simone has a friend, her flamboyant assistant, to drive her nuts. She has a healthy party life. And she is successful and independent. Yet, she is still not complete. She is missing a companion. No man has been so appealing to her to knock her off her feet. But, when she meets her new business partner, all of that will change.

Ms. Brown
She is a creative director of her own business, Say it Loud Industry, selling ethnic accessories. She and her fashion assistant spent years of traveling overseas as inspiration for her collection. Ms. Brown is very successful, yet losing some steam. She is hoping her new business partner will provide her some help...in more ways than one. But Ms. Brown is not who others think she is, which her new business partner will soon find out.

Nate
He is Simone's most loyal and flamboyant assistant. He loves to wear bright and flashy clothes, finishing them off with a fresh pair of pumps. Him and Simone have been best friends since Tenth grade. They do everything together, partying being one of them! Nate could be silly, but has something to say for every situation.

Dylan
He is driven to make a quick buck. His cash cow: churches! Dylan goes in making promises and selling books and comes out with cash for a spending spree. But, he has more skeletons in his closet, and worst, he will try to bring Simone in the middle of it.

Myla
She is the mother of Simone. A deaconess for her church, she wants her daughter to meet her expectations, even though Simone has her own aspirations. Simone can't find a way to get through to her mom about her meddling, but nothing happens.  And if Myla is not pleased, nobody is happy.
